DP World Shipping Solutions is seeking a structured and data-driven Student Assistant – Procurement to join our Procurement team in Aarhus. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced procurement professionals and contribute actively to our global procurement activities.

 

Working in the Procurement Team - DP World Shipping Solutions

As a Student Assistant in the Procurement department, you will support our procurement initiatives and help the team apply business analytics to extract insights from data, manage tariffs and ultimately optimize our cost base.

You will work closely with Category Managers and the Procurement Director, gaining insight into category management, cost analysis, and supplier negotiations within a multinational logistics organization.

This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. We are seeking candidates who are already based in Aarhus, Denmark.

Key responsibilities 

Under the guidance of the AI Lead, you will: 

  • Collecting, consolidating, and analyzing procurement-related data from ERP/Cube systems, supplier files, and internal trackers
  • Cleaning, structuring, and validating datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintaining and developing dashboards and analytical models (Excel / Power BI)
  • Preparing executive-ready PowerPoint presentations and summary reports to communicate key findings
  • Maintaining and updating tariff repositories and supporting tariff validation against contract terms
  • Assisting Category Managers in RFx activities (data gathering, price comparisons, tracking actions, and reviewing contracts)
  • Supporting process documentation by maintaining templates, trackers, and SOPs

Who are you?

You are proactive, analytical, and eager to gain practical experience within procurement and business analytics in an international setting. You enjoy handling data, drawing insights, and interacting with internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring process governance.

Furthermore, we expect you to:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or similar)
  • Have solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and be comfortable in PowerPoint
  • Have a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Be comfortable working with data and technical systems (knowledge of Power BI is a plus)
  • Communicate confidently in English (Danish proficiency is a plus, but not required)

Candidates with a general interest in procurement, supply chain, or data analytics will thrive in this role.
