Shipping Solutions is seeking a skilled IT Developer to support our business objectives and strengthen our global IT infrastructure. 

Working in the IT Development team at Shipping Solutions

As an IT Developer, you design, develop, and implement applications that keep our enterprise systems robust and efficient. You work with technologies such as C# .NET, Azure, Kafka, and Kubernetes, contributing to stable and secure software solutions.  

IT Development is an international team where you work with colleagues from different parts of the world. You collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, such as IT Business Partners, BI Consultants, and Technical Architects, on both daily operations and new projects. Collaboration and innovation drive your work, as you actively share knowledge, guide, and mentor junior team members, supporting Shipping Solutions' journey toward digital excellence.

This position is based at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark and travel is not expected. We seek candidates already residing in Denmark. You will report to Arushi Mittal, Head of IT Development.

Key responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and implement applications using C# .NET, Azure, Kafka, and Kubernetes technologies 

• Monitor application performance, identifying issues and opportunities for improvement 

• Develop software that will help the business at Shipping Solutions and maintain existing software systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations 

• Develop and implement integrations between systems to facilitate information exchange and improve efficiency 

• Provide innovative IT solutions that strengthen Shipping Solutions' processes and operations 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and actively contribute to team meetings, sharing insights and knowledge 

• Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting the development of their skills and knowledge 

Who are you?

You have 4-5 years of IT experience, and you thrive in international environments. You are a strong team player, able to work effectively with diverse teams across different locations. 

Furthermore, you bring: 

• A solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies 

• Proven experience in IT development, with strong practical knowledge of C# .NET, Azure Integration Services, Azure DevOps, Kafka, and Kubernetes 

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative IT solutions 

• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms 

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
