Working in our Shortsea department at Unifeeder

As a Customer Service Agent, your primary responsibility will be to build sustainable relationships with customers and suppliers, facilitating effective booking management and intermodal/customer service delivery. You will focus on maximizing internal utilization while providing exceptional customer service.

You will join a young, dynamic, international Customer Service team of 18 members in Hamburg. With our strong team spirit, open culture, and commitment to customer centricity, we value collaboration and are looking for a true team player who is passionate about delivering outstanding service and putting the customer first.

This position is based in Hamburg, Germany. We are seeking candidates who are already residing in Hamburg, and proficiency in German is essential.

You will report to the Customer Service Supervisor and the Customer Service Manager and collaborate across our Shortsea function.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure KPI targets are met.
  • Deliver Best in Class Service to our Customers through a strong Customer Service Organization and a mature Customer Collaboration process.
  • Embed proactive booking management in day-to-day operations, ensuring optimal utilization while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Sales, Production, and Logistics teams to deliver cost-effective customer service.
  • Prioritize orders and adjust schedules to fulfill customer priority requirements.


Who are you?

You have experience in customer service or a similar field, with operational skills and a strong understanding of logistics, shipping, and/or forwarding.

Additionally, we expect you to have:

  • Proficiency in English and German at a negotiation level (both verbal and written).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office packages.

You also bring:

  • A timely and constructive approach with a flexible sense of urgency to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, focused on delivering service excellence.
  • Self-driven, independent, yet a team player.
  • Accuracy and ability to produce quality work.
  • Adaptability to changes in a fast-paced work environment.
