Working in the Capacity Management team at Unifeeder

As Capacity Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing capacity utilization for a group of Unifeeder’s container vessels and driving daily operations that create value for both Unifeeder and our customers.

Your mission: to make sure our ships are filled, our customers are served, and our network runs efficiently – every single day.

You will join a team that sits at the very heart of Unifeeder – where planning, coordination, and decision-making in real time keep our service reliable and competitive.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Commercial, Scheduling, Terminals, and Network Planning functions – both locally and internationally – to secure optimal vessel deployment and customer satisfaction.

This position is based at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, and you will occasionally travel to meet colleagues, partners, and customers (est. 20 travelling days annually).

We seek candidates already residing in Denmark. You will report to Robert Johannessen, Capacity Management Director, Capacity Management.

Key responsibilities 

  • Manage and monitor vessel capacity utilization across assigned services to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Coordinate with Commercial teams to allocate space, manage bookings, and anticipate capacity needs
  • Plan and coordinate vessel loading and routing decisions based on the prevailing operational circumstances and customer commitments
  • Collaborate with Scheduling and Terminal teams to manage port calls, delays, and irregularities
  • Support data-driven decisions by tracking utilization rates, KPIs, and performance trends
  • Contribute to operational improvement projects and share best practices across regions


Who are you?

We expect you to have:

  • Experience in shipping, logistics, or transport operations – ideally within container shipping, short-sea, or feeder services
  • A solid understanding of vessel operations, planning, or scheduling processes
  • The ability to make decisions quickly based on incomplete information and evolving situations
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills – clear, respectful, and solution-oriented
  • Proficiency in Outlook and good general IT/system skills; experience with operational planning tools is an advantage
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken – additional language skills (Spanish, German, or French) are an asset
