Shipping Solutions is seeking a motivated and independent Shipping Trainee to join our team in Aarhus starting 1 March 2026.This role offers the unique opportunity to gain skills within many areas of the shipping industry.

Being part of Shipping Solutions' 2-year Traineeship

As a Shipping Trainee at Shipping Solutions, you join a dynamic, busy, and informal culture. You are part of an international environment, with a big surface of contact with colleagues, partners, and customers from all over the world. You quickly gain responsibility for your own tasks, with support from your committed colleagues.

The Traineeship Program

The program is designed to provide both theoretical and practical experience, equipping you with the necessary tools to make a significant impact on our business.

You start your traineeship at our headquarters in Aarhus N, where you rotate through multiple departments, gaining valuable experience across our operations, customer interactions, and fuel supply. For the final three months of your first year, you are based and working from our office in Hamburg. DP World covers all expenses for housing and transportation through the rotation in Hamburg.

When you finish your traineeship with DP World, you have thorough knowledge of container operations and a broad understanding of the shipping industry. Together with a strong social network across the organization, this prepares you for your future career within international shipping – hopefully at one of DP World’s locations.

This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark starting 1 March 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are seeking candidates who are already based in Aarhus, Denmark.

Who are you?

You have an interest in international shipping and trade, and you are eager to push the limits of logistics. You are a mature and independent individual, perhaps with some professional experience and/or experience abroad.

Furthermore, we expect you to:

• Be passionate about learning and developing your skills
• Want to contribute, and apply your knowledge
• Communicate confidently in both Danish and English
• Be willing to engage in an international, flexible, and active team
• Have an HHX-exam or EUS course, if you have a STX, HTX, or HF exam
  
  

What you’ll gain

You gain a two-year education, preparing you for an exciting career in shipping. You rotate between multiple departments, giving you hands-on experience and a broad insight into the DP World Business. You are part of an international environment with offices in Scandinavia, Europe, and Americas, and you take part in a three-month rotation in Hamburgand potential visits to other locations where we take care of housing.

As part of your individual career plan, we evaluate your leaning during and after each rotation, ensuring your full potential is unlocked.
