Unifeeder's extensive network just got bigger

We are excited to announce that Unifeeder is adding a new service to its extensive network. From February 22nd, 2019 we will start a dedicated shuttle service departing Gdynia Port on Fridays and arriving London Gateway on Mondays.

Recent developments around the vote in the UK Parliament against the Brexit agreement between the UK and the European Union might have a serious impact on supply chains to and from the UK. This new connection is part of Unifeeder’s strategy to provide a competitive transport alternative for our customers, as well as, ensure a steady flow for their cargo to the UK, via multiple points of entry.

Multi-Gateway Strategy

The service upgrade is an addition to Unifeeder’s existing multi-gateway setup connecting five UK ports: Grangemouth, South Shields, Teesport, Immingham and Felixstowe with the important continental hub-ports (Hamburg, Rotterdam, Dunkerque, and Antwerp) and several ports in Eastern Europe. This strategy allows us to offer our customers door-to-door solutions from most of Europe to anywhere in the UK.

Chris Lewis, UK CEO, DP World, said: “We are pleased to be working in conjunction with Unifeeder to offer its customers – and European importers and exporters more generally – a competitive alternate gateway into the UK.

As the largest Pan-European feeder and shortsea operator, Unifeeder offers the extensive network, regularity, and lead-times necessary to provide our customers with logistics solutions, which can withstand the post-Brexit implications.

"Due to integration to the UK’s largest Logistic Park as well as great accessibility to the highway and rail connections - DP World London Gateway is a true logistic hub, making it a powerful extension of Unifeeder’s network"

Timm Niebergall, Director of Unifeeder Shortsea
