We meet our customers’ expectations by providing innovative and efficient transport and supply chain solutions.
At the moment, we are looking to strengthen our marine operations department in Rotterdam by adding a proactive and enthusiastic full-time colleague to the team. You must be willing to work in a 24/7 shift system based on 3 daily shifts where week-ends and most national holidays are included.
Maintain operational control of vessel operations in BENELUX and North-West Europe region
Liaise with terminals to sort out stowage issues and short-term quay planning problems
Order and control port services (e.g. pilotage, mooring/unmooring, towage, etc.) while aiming to minimize port costs (i.e. avoid lay-by’s, individuate opportunities for earlier berthing windows, minimize idle time, etc.)
Manage vessels’ ETA in accordance with local berthing requirements and, in doing so, minimize bunker costs
Update company systems with latest prospects; inform internal stakeholders about any operational issues impacting service level
Handle data distribution to and from terminals and internal stakeholders
MBO/HBO degree or equivalent, minimum experience of 1 to 3 years in either container liner operations or container terminal operations; experience in handling feeder vessels is a plus
Full professional proficiency in English and Dutch; working knowledge of German is a plus
Sufficient knowledge of container stowage and EDI types
Proactive attitude: identifies issues before they manifest themselves and takes immediate action
A multi-tasker, due to the wide geographical area under the marine operator’s responsibility
A real team player: able to effectively share responsibilities and cooperate with the rest of the team and organization, across different countries and cultures
Highly motivated, self-driven, dynamic and independent team player

Willingness to travel frequently throughout Central Europe
