Gdansk - New Service
Unifeeder will launch a new fixed day weekly service on Gdansk, expanding our service from Poland to Kotka and St Petersburg.
This service will provide very fast transit time to/from Kotka and St Petersburg for feeder and shortsea cargo that routes via Gdansk. The service will also facilitate regular empty repositioning from Poland to Finland and Russia.
Finland and Russia will then have multiple gateway options within the Unifeeder network as we will be able to offer transhipment connections over Gdansk / Hamburg / Bremerhaven / Rotterdam and Antwerp.
This comprehensive service offering of hubs and transit time options will facilitate the best cargo routing options for our customers.
On September 21th, 2019, the world’s first container ship retrofitted with a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) engine, “Wes Amelie”, received LNG through a SIMOPS (simultaneous operations) ship-to-ship bunker operation from the world’s largest LNG bunker supply vessel “Kairos”.
We can finally share the outcome of our visit with Danske Rederier at the largest container terminal in Hamburg, HHLA Burchardkai. Our CEO Jesper Kristensen explains how Shortsea and multimodal transportation can benefit supply chains and most of all our environment.
