The continuous growth in volumes to and from St Petersburg has forced us to make another change of our schedules, specifically to and from the First Container Terminal (FCT).
In order to be in a position to handle and control the terminal operation in the immediate future, effective 01.07.2006, FCT have advised they are forced to reduce the number of vessel calls to and from the terminal. This regrettably also involves Unifeeder A/S.
As a consequence of the above, we have had to adjust our services accordingly. We will in future only serve FCT to and from the German ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven, thus removing the mentioned terminal from our Rotterdam schedule.
To illustrate, we give you below our new Rotterdam schedule, which will become effective immediately:
| 1st Schedule | |
| Northbound | |
| Departure Hamburg | Thursday |
| Departure Rotterdam | Saturday |
| Arrival St Petersburg (PLP) | Wednesday |
| Arrival St Petersburg (Moby Dik) | Friday |
| Southbound | |
| Departure St Petersburg (PLP) | Thursday |
| Departure St Petersburg (Moby Dik) | Friday |
| Arrival Hamburg | Subject to inducement |
| Arrival Rotterdam | Tuesday |
| 2nd Schedule | |
| Northbound | |
| Departure Rotterdam | Wednesday |
| Arrival St Petersburg (PLP) | Sunday |
| Southbound | |
| Departure St Petersburg (PLP) | Monday |
| Arrival Rotterdam | Friday |
The mentioned adjustment of our schedules will not otherwise influence our total service to and from St Petersburg and we will maintain our eight vessels rotation between Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and St Petersburg with a total weekly capacity of 3,200 TEU’s, and with the following weekly call frequency:
| Weekly calls | Terminals served | |
| Hamburg | Five | FCT, PLP, MOBY DIK |
| Area 1 & 2 – export only | ||
| Bremerhaven | Two | FCT, PLP |
| Rotterdam | Two | PLP, Moby Dik |
We naturally regret the situation where we are for the time being forced to reduce our presence at the First Container Terminal to and from Rotterdam. However, we are convinced that in the circumstances the adjustments of our schedules will protect our efforts to deliver the strongest commercial feeder service to and from St Petersburg and the main ports in North Europe. This is illustrated by the fact that we have maintained our twice weekly service from Rotterdam to St Petersburg by adding the second call at PLP in combination with the Moby Dik terminal.
