Strike in Finland
Thursday 4th of March at 06.00 the declared strike went into effect, as the Finnish Transport Workers’ Union and the Finnish Port Operators Association failed to reach an agreement through their on-going negotiations these past weeks.
The strike covers all Finnish ports, and is in effect until further notice.
In connection to our last calls to the Finnish ports this week, please note that
- Aurora sailed from Helsinki yesterday including all cargo
- Bianca Rambow sailed from Kotka yesterday with some short shipments
- Heinrich Ehler will sail from Kotka today due to the strike in force, consequently some short shipments should be expected
As of yet, there is no information on when the further negotiations will take place. However, we are following the developments closely and will bring you updates on a continuous basis.
