Acceptance of veterinary cargo – St Petersburg
Print

The Russian Veterinary Service organization has issued an order concerning cargo subject to veterinarian control.

In addition to the current procedure and effective 01.02.2008, this means that for bookings to St Petersburg, our customers must provide us with the number of the original Veterinary Certificate before the specific container is loaded onboard our vessel.

Further, no later than 24 hours prior to vessel's arrival in St Petersburg, the local representative office of our customers must provide our agent in St Petersburg (Neptun Marine) with a copy of the ocean B/L duly stamped and signed by our customers' local organization.

Accuracy and adherence to the timing of the above procedure is critical to ensure that all documents are duly presented to the Russian authorities.

Failure to comply with the mentioned ruling may result in discharge of cargo being refused
