Purpose of Unifeeder CO2 Calculator

Unifeeder’s CO2 calculator let you measure the CO2 savings made possible by replacing truck transports with maritime freight. The internet-based calculator calculates the CO2 footprint of a door-to-door, optional quay-to-quay, transport string including the Unifeeder shortsea service package and benchmark against the CO2 footprint of traditional trailer transport .

How to use Unifeeder CO2 Calculator

The purpose of the Unifeeder CO2 Calculator is to calculate the CO2 footprint of a door-to-door, optional quay-to-quay, transport string including the Unifeeder shortsea service package (shown in light blue colour) and benchmark against the CO2 footprint of traditional trailer transport (showed in tan colour). The Unifeeder CO2 Calculator also facilitates benchmarking against trailer transport in combinations with ferry crossings.

Enter the location where the cargo is to be collected in the field just below "from". This is an open text field for your own use.

Enter the distance in kilometres to the Port of Loading or the point of ferry crossing, respectively. If no ferry crossing is needed, enter the full distance from door-to-door under precarriage in alternative trailer transport.

Vessel voyage

Enter the Unifeeder port pairs, i.e. the Port of Loading and the Port of Discharge, respectively, in the open fields. Your can only choose port pairs from the Unifeeder Master Schedule.

Ferry crossing

Choose the ferry crossing from the drop-down list. If no ferry crossing is to be considered, choose "no ferry crossing" from the drop-down list.

Oncarriage

Fill in the location where the cargo is to be delivered in the field just below "to"’. This is an open text field for your own use.

Enter the distance in kilometres from the Port of Discharge and the point of ferry crossing, respectively. If no ferry crossing, you just enter the value "0" (zero).

Calculate

Click one of the "calculate" button to see the result. The calculated figures, the difference in per cent, and a histogram will be shown in the light grey/blue column to the right.
